Want to learn some highly effective tips on dog training? Not the usual advice you find on the internet only to give you no results with your dog at all.
The kind of tips that strangely work.
Yes, the kind that get dogs with bad attitudes to actually listen to you!
There are many dog obedience training courses out there that teach you dog psychology, how to be the “alpha male”, etc etc. But when it comes to actually using this advice with your own dog, it doesn’t seem to do anything.
The reason is because tips on dog training often fail to realize two MAJOR thing….

1. All dogs are NOT created equal
If you’ve been around a lot of dogs like I have, you’ve probably noticed that dogs all have their own individual personality.
Some dogs are shy. Some dogs are aggressive. Some are curious. Adventurous. The list of personality traits goes on and on!
How can you expect all dogs to react the same to one rigid dog obedience training course when they all bring different strengths/weaknesses to the table.
2. Most Owners have an Established Relationship with their Dog!
A lot of those tips on dog training out there tell you to be assertive and be the alpha male with your dogs. All great advice….
but…..
If you’ve had your dog for more than a week then your roles have been established. Your dog is smart. He has probably already realized what he can and cannot get away with.
Your dog probably already knows you pretty well simply by reading your body language. This is how all animals communicate and dogs are very keen on this.
So, acting like the alpha male won’t work unless you are 100% confident in your new role.
I’m going to give you a little secret…
Dog training has NOTHING to do with special techniques or information on your dog. Instead, it has to do with how YOU communicate with your dog. Your dog is behaving the way it is because of you.
The way you have been around your dog is what has allowed your dog to develop poor behavior habits.
Fortunately, there is a way to fix this. Change the way you treat your dog and your dog will change the way it acts.
